BTW Can you make a tutorial where you have a portal gun and you shoot out balls that when they hit something it spits out a circle thing and if there is one it won't work+Circle, I don't actually know how to make the circle to tell you the proof, I made a proto where it just spits out the Stick

Truth not proof Don't know why Circle is there though and What I mean is It spits out the thing you hit to Portal, it actually Works but I would like something with better quality

hey comph I was wondering do you think it's better with all your experience to use multiple tag names or tags with the same names but different colors for instance the pieces of the ladder that could have been a ladder1 and a ladder2 and then a ladderexit or something but would that save more space or make it simpler that changing colors or more complicated. Just wondering your input

How do we make it so the Sackbot resets his head to front and center from when we was jumping left or right.

I like that feature for the sack bot, but would also like for his head to reset.

A third selector state that is active when not on the ladder.

It would be helpful if you made a tutorial on the 3 new sensors. You can show us how they work, the technical mechanics behind the sensors (ex. Analogue signals) and applications they could be used in (ex portals)

Beeing looking at doing this myself, but I think I'm trying to do the impossible at the same time... Is there anyway to make the sackbot face away from the screen while climbing the ladder? So with it's back to the screen.


I have a sneaky feeling that if you knew how to do it you may have used it instead, but hey.

I'm sure you make another tag, and change the sackbot look at to look at tag, then its head will move to wherever the tag is.

Thanks for the reply. I'll give it a go, but I want the entire sackboy/sackbot to turn away from the screen so that the player sees it's back and I'm not sure this will do it.

If you imagine when trying to place decorations on your sackboy and you press R1 (could be another button, I can't rememeber off the top of my head) to rotate the sackboy twice and it faces away from you, like that but still being able to move the sackboy around if desired.

I don't think you can do whole body movements. Maybye grabbing may work?

Grabbing sounds like an idea, then moving the grabbed item.. I like the idea, but I think it'll be a case of facing sideways instead of backwards. I was also thinking of using a controlinator, but then you loose his legs :-(
